Ville de Montréal, Ahuntsic-Cartierville borough
Environmental and sustainable benefits

- Creation of ecosystems and green corridors
- Increased biodiversity

- Lower maintenance costs
The new concept aims to revitalize the Parcours Gouin, a prominent walkway and cycling network along the Rivière des Prairies. Our expertise in phytotechnology, riparian interventions, sustainable stormwater management and green roofs were solicited to carry out a preliminary design study.
The concept is based on a riparian landscape that comes inland and impacts the urban space. A main pavilion, intended to become a model of sustainable architecture, will now be open to citizens and visitors taking this route. A belvedere allows a direct and privileged contact with the river. It connects to the city to the pavilion with boardwalk inspired walkway.
