Jarry Park is undergoing a restoration program based on a 5-year plan. The park was divided in two poles and each poles will be realised on a determined phasing.

Our mandate first targeted the redesign of pathways and the creations of new entrances point for the park. A public space sitting by the pond and a boardwalk were implemented. Several extensive activity areas were developed including a lunch area, playgrounds, a dog park, and mounds for relaxation. The swimming pool area was redesigned to accommodate a dining area and a quiet areas which, through a proper fencing strategy, remain accessible even when the pool is closed.

Major issues concerning the water level and quality of the pond were discovered through a specific analysis. The pond is receiving sediments coming from rain water and a high level of phosphorus was detected. Our proposed solutions will be realised in a future phase.

Among the interventions proposed on the masterplan, we led to design and construction the first phase which included a review of the skateboard site. Some equipment and pavement were maintained but new furniture and site-adapted features were added to offer a more complete experience. Two basketball courts also have been built in the sports area of the park.
